558-Title Google Play Books Catalog

Hibrkraft team, the publishing operation behind a 558-title catalog in five languages

Built and published a 558-title catalog on Google Play Books spanning five languages: Indonesian, English, Korean, Japanese, and German. The catalog was developed as a structured publishing operation, not a collection of ad hoc titles, but a systematically produced and distributed body of work with consistent metadata, categorisation, and storefront presentation across all language editions.

Multi-language publishing at this scale requires solving distribution before it requires solving content. Each language storefront on Google Play Books has its own metadata requirements, category taxonomy, and discoverability logic. Getting 558 titles into appropriate categories with accurate metadata in five languages is the infrastructure work that makes the content findable. Without it, the catalog exists but doesn't circulate.

The operational model treats each title as a product with a lifecycle: draft, edit, format, metadata, publish, monitor. At 558 titles across five languages, that lifecycle has to be systematised. The discipline is in the workflow, not the individual title. This catalog is the largest publishing operation I've run to date.

What this proved: Publishing at scale in multiple languages is an operations problem first. The content is only as useful as the distribution infrastructure behind it.
