KPK Leather Journal Supply

KPK leather journal batch supply

From 2021 to 2023, Hibrkraft supplied handcrafted leather journals to the Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi, the KPK, Indonesia's national anti-corruption body, as a retained corporate client. The engagement required consistent batch production: each journal had to meet the same specification in cover weight, page count, and binding quality, delivered on schedule.

Institutional supply exposed a quality control problem that individual craft sales never surface. When you make one journal for a customer, small variations are part of the handmade character. When you deliver forty journals to a government institution, the batch must be uniform. That required building a more systematic production process: consistent leather selection, standardised cutting patterns, a quality check at each stage before binding.

The KPK contract ran for two years and established Hibrkraft's capacity as an institutional supplier, not just a craft producer. It also set the standard for how I approach batch work across every domain: the process has to be repeatable before the output can be consistent.

What this proved: Institutional supply is a different discipline from craft retail. Consistency across a batch matters more than perfection in a single piece.
