A site survey teaches you more than a spec sheet

Spent the morning at a manufacturing facility in Bekasi documenting their existing pump installation. The spec sheet said one thing. The actual piping layout said another. The operator's workaround said a third.

This is why I survey before I quote. The gap between documentation and reality is where the real engineering happens.
